My Story
I’ve been immersed in sport since the age of 11, when I first discovered cross country and fell running in Lancashire, where I grew up. Since then, performance has remained a defining part of my life — not through a pursuit of external status, but through challenge, curiosity, and the intrinsic satisfaction of striving.
Over more than 30 years, that journey has taken me from junior running to triathlon, long-distance cycling, and ultra-endurance mountain bike racing. I have never seen sport as only a way to win. What has always mattered most to me is the process, the challenge, and the personal growth that comes from committing to something difficult over time.
Alongside that lived experience, I hold academic qualifications in sport psychology and sport performance. My work brings those two worlds together — evidence-based knowledge and first-hand athletic understanding — to help athletes pursue performance in a way that is both rigorous and meaningful.
Kavachi reflects that philosophy: a way of developing athletes that values not only outcomes, but also purpose, resilience, self-understanding, and long-term growth
